An early CEF identity disc worn by 108468 Private George Henry Powell 3rd and 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles. 1st CMR served in 8 Brigade 3rd Canadian Infantry Division. Henry Powell was wounded in the head on 3rd June 1916 during the Battle of Mount Sorrel East of Ypres in Belgium. The disc comes with a full set of photocopied service papers.
