The soft cap, jacket and medals that are attributed to Bombardier 172422 Bombardier G Armstrong of the Royal Garrison Artillery. The group consists of his wool soft cap of the pattern introduced in November 1917. This is very well marked with the correct number over letter WD stamp and dated 1918. The cap is not named. The jacket is that introduced in 1902 this specific pattern dates from 1917 . It has the correct WD mark with the L for Leeds clothing factory. Armstrong has written is name in indelible pencil to one of the pocket reinforcing strips. Aside from chevrons to each sleeve and RGA titles the jacket has no evidence of other badges. Armstrong's full medal entitlement of the British War and Victory Medals is with his uniform. He served in France from early 1918 in the RGA Anti Aircraft Section.
