A very good condition RASC GS cap with corps colours and plastic economy cap badge affixed. WD marked with the date 194?. The GS cap was introduced in September 1943 and was not a popular item of headress with soldiers who dubbed it the 'Cap Ridiculous'. Despite its unpopularity it is seen in widespread use in the later part of WW2.
